In fact, you may be surprised to hear that I believe that you can get more done by moving more. In my experience, you will be able to be more productive and happier if you move a little bit every hour or so. You'll be more productive because your mind and body will be more alert and energized. You'll be happier because you'll feel better and won't suffer from the various ailments that come from sitting too much. The more you do it the easier it becomes.
You may be thinking, "Really? Getting up and moving around a little bit every hour is not that difficult?" It's not that it's incredibly difficult to do, rather that it's incredibly easy to NOT do. In other words, it's easy to just stay in your chair and do the work. But once you start getting up and moving around a little bit, you'll start to feel really good and it will become easier and easier to get up and move. The key is to start small. Try standing up and walking around your office for a minute or two every hour. Or even walking down the hallway and around the outside of your office building every hour or so.

Fitocracy is a great app to turn your exercise routine into a game. It helps you to set exercise goals and you can earn points for the workouts that you do. The more points you earn, the higher your level. You can even earn badges for all the hard work that you do.
Fitbit is a great app for tracking your activity level throughout the day. It is great for tracking your steps, your calories burned, and your heart rate. It’s a great way to track your progress throughout the day. It can also be used to track your sleep patterns. It’s great for keeping track of your activity level and it’s fun to keep track of your results.
