An exciting update is coming very soon for a front-running title in the first-person shooter genre. In just a week, players will see the arrival of a fresh season for Black Ops 6 and Warzone 2.0, with both titles set to receive a host of new content on May 29.
The upcoming season will feature a streamlined launch focused on the Multiplayer experience. For the classic online mode, players can look forward to three new maps at launch—Shutdown, Fugitive, and Blitz—with an additional pair arriving later in the season, Eclipse and Fringe. Also debuting are two fresh game modes at the start, specifically Team Elimination and One in the Chamber, along with an extra mode, Party Ops, during the season, plus the introduction of a new Scorestreak known as Grim Reaper.
Warzone will not be left out, as Verdansk undergoes several modifications. The Overlook area in Downtown will be reworked and new interactive elements such as cranes and horizontal zip lines will come into play. Alongside these changes, a new mode called Clash will be introduced at launch, followed by Havoc Royale and Resurgence Causal later on, with Ranked Resurgence making its appearance shortly thereafter. Additional gameplay tweaks include features like the Hand Featuring a cannon, reinforced door barricades, innovative perks, curated care packages, and more specialized contracts to complete.
The Zombies segment sees a less robust update compared to the other modes. Its main attractions are the fresh Grief mode, a Shatter Blast ammo mod, support abilities linked to Grim Reaper, and a set of new Dark Ops challenges. More Gobblegums are set to launch as well, and later the season will unveil new game variants such as Abomination Challenge and Starting Room modes, in addition to a King of the Dead activity.
Across all three core modes, the update brings a variety of new weapons, including a Pickaxe and the Olympia. Players will have the chance to earn new attachments, unlock Operators, complete an updated battle pass, and purchase additional bundles, one of which even draws inspiration from a popular recent action spinoff.
