Microsoft Office Lens - PDF Scanner

Just like Google Photos, Office Lens is an image processing app that’s designed to quickly scan documents and convert them to PDF or Word format. The app is built by Microsoft, and it’s the official scanning app for Microsoft Office. Although the app is designed for scanning documents, it can also be used to edit and share images.

Features

Office Lens can be used to scan any type of document. Simply point the camera towards the document and tap the shutter button. You can adjust the perspective of the document by tapping the three dots on the top-left corner and selecting the appropriate option. You can also use the app to scan whiteboards.

When you’re done taking a picture, tap the Save button on the bottom-left corner. The app will automatically crop the image and remove the background. If you’re scanning a document, it will also automatically convert it to PDF or Word format.

The app can also be used to edit images. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to bring up the options. Here, you’ll find standard editing tools like Crop, Rotate, Flip, and Enhance. You can also use the Perspective Tool to correct the perspective.

Interface

The interface of Office Lens is very minimal. Swiping from left to right brings up a navigation bar with options to take pictures, open an image from your gallery, or open the image library. The main page also has options to share, delete, or edit an image.
